CROSSING
La struttura che vorrei proporre è un complesso di 3 edifici che comprende un ristorante, una zona bar e balconate lungo l’argine del naviglio in modo da sfruttare al meglio tutta l’area.
L’edificio principale è il ristorante a base circolare sviluppato verticalmente su 3 piani, il piano sotto al livello dell’acqua ha funzione di base di appoggio, adibito a dispensa, ripostiglio e stanza frigorifera. Il primo piano è diviso in 2 spazi: uno esterno per mangiare all’aperto e la sala principale affiancata dalla cucina e i bagni. Il secondo piano, cui si accede tramite una scala ellittica esterna, è stato pensato come una terrazza aperta dove si può fruire della vista sul naviglio.
La seconda struttura, zona bar, è sviluppata in orizzontale, sfruttando la lunghezza. È un insieme di più piattaforme la cui principale ospita il chiosco e le altre annesse per i tavolini.
Le due strutture sono connesse tra loro tramite una passerella.
Lungo il naviglio a ridosso dell’argine ho pensato a balconate semicircolari, che ospitano una panchina dove potersi sedere e godere della vista.
I materiali impiegati sono gli stessi utilizzati negli edifici circostanti in modo da essere in armonia con l’ambiente: il cotto e l’intonaco per i muri, il ferro e i motivi a croce nelle ringhiere (ispirati dai ponticelli già esistenti lungo il corso). La forma delle vetrate del ristorante rimanda ai portici che circondano la zona.
I have designed an area whit three buildings: a restaurant, a pub and panorama viewing balconies along the right bank side of the Naviglio so to bring to life the area.
The main circular shaped building is a three-floor restaurant. The foundations are underwater, and some of the room can be used for storage. The “water” floor is divided into two main areas, an open one and an indoor one, where there are the toilets, the kitchen as well as the dining area.
The second floor is an open roof area, where to enjoy the view.
The second building develops horizontally on the water as a series of floating boards: on the bigger one, there is a coffee kiosk, while the others will host customers. Footbridges connect the floating boards. Railings surround the whole structure for safety measures.
Along the canal, projecting from the right side bank, there are stilt balconies with benches where to sit and relax to enjoy the view.
The materials used are the same which have been used in the surrounding buildings.
